I want to highlight some of my fall classes coming up at Visarts here in the heart of VA. There is a lot of interest in natural dyeing and my interest is in doing it right - honestly how great is a color if it's going to fade in a few months or isn't wash fast. Come join me in looking at pre-1856 dyeing.
Natural Dye Explorations: Natural dyeing is a wild and wonderful adventure. Getting good color saturation and permeance can be tricky. Each color has its own ingredients, process, and history. You will work with natural fiber fabrics/yarns and explore various dye stuffs and pattern making techniques.
